FAQDo you play more than classical music?
Yes. Take a look at the repertoire page and you will see classical, pop, and celtic tunes. Consider my Celtic Twosome group, or suggest a favourite song that means something to you - with enough time, we can do a special arrangement just for you! Do we need to feed you and the other players? Not necessary, but it's always a nice gesture to feed the musicians. Keep up the strength and all that. What instruments are in your groups? Normally a lead player in all my groups, my primary instrument is oboe which appears in Roseau Trio along with cello and either violin or viola. I can also perform on English horn if the occasion requires it, but prefer recorder with The Ancient Airs Players which can comprise an all-recorder consort or a variety of combos that may also include harp and vocals. In Celtic Twosome tin whistle and all the above come into play along with Michael's fingerstyle-guitar. (He's also a fine folk singer and multi-instrumentalist including squeezebox, hammered dulcimer...and more!) I understand you do weddings. Do you perform at other events? Absolutely. Just contact me to discuss your needs. Are you able to do my wedding in Mexico? Yes. I have a passport and would be happy to travel for your wedding as a soloist no matter the location, as long as all expenses are covered. It may also be possible to perform with one of my groups with enough notice. Why should I hire you instead of a DJ? Live music, played by professionals will add a memorable touch of class that your guests will remember for years to come. And we can keep playing even if the power goes out! (with enough light!) What do you charge? Rates are dependent on a few factors, and can only be determined quickly after a quick consult with each potential client. Number of performers and travel from Peterborough (our base) as well as length of the event play a part. Call me! Don't worry, it's rare we can't accommodate a client's budget. See some base wedding prices on our Musicians page. |
